Fuel consumption data from MaK medium speed engines is given with tolerance +5% and approximately +1% per engine driven pump (fuel transfer pump, oil pump and cooling water pump).

Must be accounted for when comparing with Caterpillar high speed engines where fuel consumption is given with tolerance +/- 3, including engine driven pumps.
